Notice is hereby given that the Shelton School District will receive sealed bids for musical instruments at the Shelton School District Business Office, 700 S. 1st Street, Shelton, Washington 98584. ​

Shelton School District will host a surplus sale on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. at the Old Mt. View Elementary Gym (530 E K Street, Shelton, WA).

The Shelton School Board has an opening for Director District #1. Applicants must reside within the Director District #1 boundaries.

Once again, we are excited to support our students through the summer with our Summer Meals Program. Meals will be provided in designated buildings for any person 18 years old and younger. These meals are FREE.

As we begin to plan for next year's bus routes, we want to ensure our families receive bus service that is efficient and meets the needs of the community.

Meet Sarah! Sarah will be joining our teaching team in the fall starting her ninth year in education!

As we continue our search for a head coach that can build the Highclimber Football Program into a championship level program, we understand the immediate need to have a plan in place for our football activities to begin on time this summer.

We are inviting all entering kindergarten students to an EXCITING new opportunity to learn about kindergarten at our school! Kindergarten Jumpstart is two days of transition with kindergarten teachers and support staff, before students in other grade levels start school. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn about a kindergarten classroom, the lunchroom, where the restroom is, how to access the playground, and other basic structures and routines that support the IMPORTANT work of being a kindergarten student!

SUN Bucks (aka Summer EBT) is a new DSHS program that will provide qualified students with $120 to use to buy groceries while school is out for summer break. Students qualify for the program based on family income or if they already receive certain state benefits.

Meet Hayley! Hayley, or Ms. Williamson, will be joining our teaching team in the fall after she I graduates from Centralia College in June with her Bachelor of Applied Science in Teacher Education.

Meet Kyra! Kyra, or Miss Skipworth, will be joining our teaching team in the fall. She is about to graduate from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Early Childhood Education while wrapping up her student teaching in a kindergarten and first-grade split class. Kyra is also planning to get her master's in literacy through Eastern Washington University starting in September!

Meet Hannah! Hannah, or Ms. Brunink, will be joining our teaching team in the fall. She has been teaching for nine years in both Washington and Nevada.

Meet Natalie! Natalie, or Miss Scott, will be joining our teaching team in the fall. She is a recent graduate from Whitworth University where she earned her degrees in Elementary Education and Mathematics Education, with a minor in Reading.

We continue to hold the safety of our students, staff, and families as a top priority. Together we will help ensure we minimize the spread of illness in our community.

There has been an update to the 2023-24 school calendar. Monday, June 17, is the new last day of school due to the school closure on Thursday, February 15. The revised 2023-24 and the 2024-25 calendars may be found on our website.

Districts across the state are facing budget constraints. This includes the Shelton School District. One result of budget cuts will be the end of transfer buses between the elementary schools at the end of the 2023-24 school year.

I hope this letter finds you well. March is a busy month as there are many culminating activities inside and outside the classroom taking place and I wanted to share some important news about Shelton School District’s budget for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.

On Wednesday, March 20th, the DSHS Mobile Office will be parked outside of Shelton High School from 10am-2pm. Parents or youth who are 18+ can apply inside for Basic Food, Cash, and elderly/Disabled Medical. EBT cards are also available to be issued on-site.

My name is RaeAnna Gottlieb or Ms. Gottlieb and I teach kindergarten at Bordeaux Elementary School. I have been teaching for three years, all three in the Shelton School District.
