SCHOOL BOARD 


School board meetings are streamed live via YouTube every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm. Similar to in person meetings, the board invites community members to make public comments by calling 1-253-215-8782 and entering the meeting ID number (which can be found listed in the board agenda or in the district calendar) during the community comment time. Please make sure your phone is on mute by pressing *6 until it is time to speak. Press *9 to raise your hand if you wish to speak. When called upon, you can unmute yourself by pressing *6 again. The public comment procedure allows each person 3 minutes to speak and comments will be heard during the two Community Comment periods. In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, the board is not allowed to discuss items that are not on the agenda. However, the board may direct the superintendent to follow up on certain items that arise during public comment, if appropriate. As with in person meetings, public comments received in writing or by email sent to schoolboard@sheltonschools.org will not be read aloud but will be directed for follow up where appropriate. Please be mindful of how you present your comments as the board will not allow complaints against an individual staff member or student in open session unless that individual has requested an open public hearing. Please state your name before speaking.
