Nomination Process

Nomination and Selection Process

  • Nominations for Hall of Fame Consideration can be submitted online or in writing on an official form, which is both available on the Shelton School District website, www.sheltonschools.org, or at the District Office, 700 S. First St. Shelton, Wa 98584, upon request. 
  • All Nominations should be sent to Shelton School District: 700 South 1st St, Shelton, WA 98584, Attn: Hall of Fame Committee, unless filling out an online form.
  • Any person may submit a nomination for the Hall of Fame. Note: Self-nominations will not be considered.
  • No active member of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee shall be eligible for nomination.
  • Once nominated, a nominee will remain under consideration for three years.  After three years, if a nominee is not selected, the nomination will expire and the candidate will become eligible again for a nomination. 
    Induction may be granted no sooner than five years posthumously.
    The window for the nomination will open on October 1 each calendar year.
  • The deadline for nominations is October 1 the following calendar year.
    The Selection Committee will make inductee selections no later than December 15 each year.
  • Induction into the Hall of Fame will take place at the Induction Ceremony, which will be held every other year, no later than the last day of school. Induction Ceremony years are as follows: 2026, 2028, 2030, etc.
  • Committee members can seek out additional information on nominees from a variety of sources.
  • Inductees must receive a majority plus one of the votes from the Hall of Fame Committee quorum during voting to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
  • Notification to the Hall of Fame Inductees and the media will be notified no later than December 15 each calendar year.
