The Shelton School District and school board recognize the importance of involving members of the public in meetings and the value of public comment. Since migrating to virtual meetings, the board has taken time to simplify the public commenting guidelines with the intent to treat virtual meetings as closely to in-person meetings as much as possible. In doing so, also reducing the number of delayed calls and human error in using multiple technology platforms to ensure all who wish to comment, can do so.

Commenting Guidelines

Board Meetings – Business meetings that the community is invited to. Community members can make comments on agenda items. Since this is a business meeting, comments will only be taken during the designated community comment times at the beginning and ending of meetings. Questions asked will not be addressed during the meeting but will be followed up on as needed.

Special board meetings do not have community comment as a portion of the meetings.
