We are now accepting applications for both the new high school and CHOICE Learning Alternatives for the 20/21 school year!
In case you haven't heard, the Shelton School District has been hard at work preparing to open a new high school (name TBD) for the 20/21 school year, along with refining learning alternatives offered at CHOICE. Both schools are ideal for students interested in a smaller, more personalized learning environment.

We are now accepting applications for both the new high school and CHOICE Learning Alternatives for the 20/21 school year!
IMPORTANT: Students interested in either school need to apply even if they were enrolled in CHOICE last year.

Please read below for more information about each school and how to apply.

NEW HIGH SCHOOL:
Shelton School District is opening a new high school (name TBD) which will implement the New Tech model in the fall of 2020. The new high school will serve 140 high school students and will be located for the first year on the ground floor of the CHOICE building (a new facility is being pursued for the fall of 2021). It appeals to students who want to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment and to those who want a smaller, personalized learning environment that is centered on students. The development of this school has been guided by the core values of equity, respect, wellness, creativity, and resiliency, and the vision is to inspire students to be active, engaged citizens in their community, and advocates for their own futures. For more information and to apply, visit https://www.sheltonschools.org/families/cedar_high_school. Informational brochures and paper applications are also available at CHOICE on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. - noon and 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., during packet distributions.

CHOICE LEARNING ALTERNATIVES:
Every program at CHOICE is designed to prepare 7th-12th grade students for the future through a relevant and rigorous 21st-century curriculum as they work towards earning a high school diploma. CHOICE provides a safe, supportive educational environment for each student. We will help all students achieve personal and academic success so they can transition to higher education or to the workplace, and become informed, productive citizens. For more information, visit https://choice.sheltonschools.org/information/applications. Informational brochures and paper applications are also available at CHOICE on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. - noon and 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., during packet distributions
