Two students work on a welding projectOn Friday, January 24, Bordeaux Elementary School and Shelton High School embarked together on an exciting and unique program called STEAM Fridays (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) for the third year in a row. This is a unique collaboration between Bordeaux Elementary and the Shelton High School CTE Department (Career Technical Education) in which fourth-grade students get an opportunity to choose from a menu of CTE electives including construction, welding, automotive, engineering/robotics, natural resources, photography, art, stagecraft, culinary arts, and student store.

The Shelton High School students and CTE instructors provide our fourth-graders hands-on experiences in learning more about the many offerings provided by the Shelton High School CTE programs to help them think which educational path they would like to take in the future.

Many thanks go out to everyone involved!
