Tell us your thoughtsThe Shelton School District is seeking your input for the 20-21 school year. We listened to your preferences from our last survey and have taken that information back to our Sub-Committee for Instruction. At this point, we need to know what you feel is best for your family in the last stages of planning.

Please know that the district’s first priority is the safety of our students and staff. In the event that we cannot fully resume face-to-face instruction in the fall, we will provide a blended learning plan that includes face-to-face and online distance learning. If our schools close due to direction from the Health Department, we will move completely to distance learning.

Plan A: Complete face-to-face instruction if schools are opened by the Health Department, Governor, and the Shelton School Board.

Plan B: A blended model with face-to-face and distance learning. This is a rotating model. We need your input.

Plan C: Complete online distance learning in the event that schools are closed by the State.

Plan D: For families who are interested in opting into a full time, at home online learning platform. District staff would use a separate curriculum similar to a virtual academy. Students will only attend virtual classes and will not have access to classes at the high schools. There will be designated periods when families may drop the virtual academy classes and return to classes at the high schools.
