Shelton's Teacher and Coaches Responsibilities

Teacher and Coaches Responsibilities

  • Please request a storage bus if you need to transport equipment or items that cannot be held on a passenger's lap. State law prohibits us from transporting these items in the passenger compartment of a school bus. All heavy, sharp, and bulky items are included. We are not allowed to block emergency exits (doors, windows, & aisle ways) with anything.
  • By State law, glass containers, aerosol cans, flammable substances, and balloons are not allowed.
  • Help the driver by assuring that students stay seated properly and keep noise to a level that will allow the driver to be able to hear radio transmissions and emergency vehicles.
  • Please check the bus for cleanliness and have the students pick up trash and wipe up spills. The driver will provide garbage bags and towels if needed.
  • Teachers, coaches, chaperones, and volunteers are not allowed to bring their own children or family members on the bus.
