CHILD FIND: EARLY INTERVENTIONS (0-3)
Child Find
A component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA 2004) that requires school districts to locate, identify and evaluate all children with disabilities ages birth through twenty-one, who are in need of early intervention or special education and related services.
Early Intervention: Birth to Three years old
The Shelton School District is now partnering with South Sound Parent to Parent to screen, evaluate and serve children in all areas of development. Children who qualify for services receive early intervention at no cost to the family.
