Due to construction, the Mt. View office is currently closed. If you have questions or need information, please call the District Office at (360) 426-1687 and they will be happy to help. THE POOL AT SHELTON HIGH SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 25th to accommodate final prep, sealing and paving of several parking lots and driveways around the campus. It is anticipated access will be restored on Monday, August 26th. Stay tuned to the Shelton School District website and Facebook page for the latest updates.


MMR No Personal Exemptions Law

As of July 28, 2019, a new state law removes the personal and philosophical option to exempt children from the MMR vaccine required for school and child care attendance. Medical and religious exemptions are not affected by this new law. Based on this new law, you will need to provide updated immunization paperwork at or before the start of the 2019-2020 school year, starting on SEPTEMBER 16, 2019. Children without a medical or religious exemption will need two doses of MMR vaccine to be allowed into school.

At Evergreen Elementary, we are committed to offering exceptional education to all students, regardless of their language and background. To that end, next year, in addition to providing our Dual-Language Spanish instruction, we will also be offering All-day English option for students.

Do you know a child who will be five years old on or before August 31? Maybe it's your neighbor, family friend or even your own child. Spread the word... now is the time to register for kindergarten. Children turning 5 years old on or before August 31 can start kindergarten in the 2019-20 school year. Registration starts February 1, 2019.
