Student Behavior Contributes to Learning for All (Date Posted 1/30/2018)
January 30, 2018
I would like to thank all those who support student learning in our schools. We are fortunate to be surrounded by involved families and community members. We have seen the needs of students being met in so many ways throughout our community.
As always we take the safety and security of our students and staff very seriously. We are making great strides to provide a safe learning environment. Currently, we are experiencing an increased amount of behavior issues in the classroom and on our buses.
We respectfully ask that parents and guardians take a few moments to speak with your children about the importance of respecting themselves, and their fellow students, as well as their teachers, administrators and bus drivers. Classroom behavior impacts student learning for all students and we need your help at this time to remind students of appropriate behaviors in the classroom and on the bus. I believe as we discuss these matters with our students the behavior issues we are currently seeing will decrease.
Thank you for continuing to support our students and staff, we appreciate all that you do to assist in the education our children.
