Shelton School District, located on the scenic Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, is a rural district located 20 miles northwest of the state capitol of Olympia.  Shelton is a town of just under 10,000 citizens and is located about one hour from the Pacific Ocean, one and one half hours from Seattle, two hours from Portland, Oregon, one and one half hours from snow skiing and 30 minutes from mountain hiking and camping.
